First Phase Includes Delivery of Three "Hurricane" Systems In Second Quarter

MYSTIC, Connecticut, March 16, 2000 - USA Video Interactive (OTC BB: USVO; CDNX: US; www.usvo.com) today announced the sale of its downlink-satellite-ready "Hurricane" video server systems and system-integration services to The ApplicationStation.com (www.applicationstation.com) in a two-year, $5 million contract that will enable ApplicationStation.com to provide Internet outsourcing of business, productivity and communications applications to commercial and professional markets in North America, Australia, the United Kingdom, and Asia/Pacific.

In the initial phase of the contract, USA Video Interactive will deliver the first three systems for deployment by The ApplicationStation.com in the second quarter this year, with the full-scale deployment to commence in the third quarter this year through the fourth quarter of 2001.

The deployments will enable The ApplicationStation.com to build a global video and data server network encompassing the United States, United Kingdom/Europe, Canada, Australia, and Asia/Pacific. The ApplicationStation.com also will offer USA Video Interactive's advanced compression technologies and end-to-end solutions to its customers as a methodology for them to conduct their own mission-critical and job-related training.

"We believe that the Internet will provide the next generation of computing and communicating," said E. James Pennington, chairman and founder of The ApplicationStation.com. "USA Video Interactive's superior end-to-end solutions will enable us to use the Internet to train our customers in our technology, and to deliver our technology to their locations around the globe so they can use it for their own internal training needs," he continued. "Not only does USA Video Interactive provide the world's leading Internet video streaming technology, they are the only provider of a true end-to-end solution. Having USA Video Interactive as our solution provider is one of our key differentiators."

Edwin Molina, president of USA Video Interactive, said he believes The ApplicationStation.com is destined to become a world leader in outsourcing Internet applications to the medical, legal, financial, accounting, manufacturing, education and other global sectors in which critical knowledge of policies, practices and procedures is being continuously refined and updated.

"The pace of knowledge refinement in these fields creates a huge demand that can only now be met through innovative, Internet-based technologies and services. We are very pleased to be joining with The ApplicationStation.com in their pioneering effort to reach these markets with a level and quality of services and solutions that simply are not available anywhere else," Molina said. "Jim and his organization are creating an Internet portal path through which hundreds of thousands of small and medium professional and commercial concerns will have access to previously inaccessible materials. We're glad that our technology will be a part of this."
