Webcast of Yahoo! Internet Life Online Film Festival Set for Tuesday Evening, as Follow-Up to Sunday's Academy Awards
Friday, 24 March 2000
HOLLYWOOD, California, March 24, 2000 -- Highlights of the Yahoo! Internet Life Online Film Festival (www.onlinefilmfestival.com) and Awards Ceremony will be webcast Tuesday evening, March 28 at 7:30 p.m. EST (4:30 p.m. PST) as a follow-up to Sunday evening's Academy Awards. USA Video Interactive (OTCBB: USVO; CDNX: US; www.usvo.com) will encode and webcast the Yahoo! Internet Life show in collaboration with Yahoo!® Broadcast. The Festival will be available from a number of Web sites, including broadcast.yahoo.com, www.onlinefilmfestval.com and www.usvo.com.

The webcast will include approximately 30 minutes of highlights from the March 22-23 Online Film Festival, concluding with excerpts of the Online Film Festival Awards Ceremony. Although original plans called for a live webcast of the March 23 Awards Ceremony, the producers decided to capture highlights and present them as a follow-up to the TV broadcast of Sunday's Academy Awards.

"USA Video Interactive is proud to be a sponsor of Hollywood's premier online film festival," said Edwin Molina, President of USA Video Interactive. "We're particularly happy to be able to contribute to the success of this event by bringing some of the highlights to the huge audience for Internet entertainment and cutting-edge filmmaking."

The Yahoo! Internet Life Online Film Festival showcases innovative use of the Internet by filmmakers, film Web sites, digital technology companies, studios and independent companies.

Technical Details of Webcast
The March 28 webcast will be streamed onto the Internet at two bandwidth levels: 56k for home modem users and 300k for higher-bandwidth users. It will be webcast once but then available for a limited time in a video-on-demand format accessible from the websites. The webcast requires the Microsoft Windows Media Player, already installed on most PCs with Windows or available as a free download from the Microsoft site. No additional plug-ins are required. The webcast is being done collaboratively by Yahoo! Broadcast and USA Video Interactive.
