USA Video Interactive "Ticker Symbol" Temporarily Changed to USVOE

"E" Signifies SEC Review of Form 10 Underway, Not Yet Complete

APRIL 7, 2000 - MYSTIC, CONNECTICUT - The trading symbol for USA Video Interactive has temporarily been assigned an "E" while the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission completes its review of the company's Form 10. Starting today, and perhaps for as long as 30 days, the ticker symbol for the company in the United States on the OTCBB will be USVOE. The change does not affect the company's trading symbol on the Canadian Venture Exchange: US.

USA Video Interactive filed its Form 10 to become a fully reporting company on February 22, 2000. A month later, the company filed an amended Form 10 along with fully audited financials. Before the filings, internal and independent experts put the documents through rigorous reviews and vetting, and the company believes the filings are complete, comprehensive, and meet SEC requirements.

The SEC is reviewing the company's filings, and USA Video Interactive is confident that this review will be complete before May 3. If the review is completed and the SEC accepts the Form 10 on or before May 3, USA Video Interactive becomes a fully reporting company and remains on the OTCBB. If the SEC has not accepted the Form 10 by May 3, the company's listing will be transferred to the "pink sheets" until the Form 10 is accepted. Stocks on the "pink sheets" can be traded through brokers but not via the Internet at this time.

The company considers completing this process a priority and is fully prepared to work with the SEC in promptly addressing any comments or questions that may arise.
